Clearwind Farm isn’t your typical horse farm. We don’t teach riding lessons, or host shows. We are a learning environment where people can safely relax their bodies and open their minds to self-discovery. We offer several programs – including yoga, forest therapy, and various clinics for riders – but the heart of our work is equine assisted therapy and learning. Building relationship with horses is a powerful way to help us relate to ourselves and others with compassion, agency, and healthy boundaries. Read more about it here.
The farm is located 15 minutes west of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, surrounded by 200 acres of nature and removed from the hassles of daily life. Because we strive to create a safe and calm environment for our clients and horses, please call ahead to arrange a visit. In the meantime, please peruse the website to get a better feel of what we offer, and don’t hesitate to email or call us if you have questions.

What We Do
Come as you are. Leave even more so.
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL)
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) sessions are offered to all ages by Suzanne Case. These sessions are one hour in length and there is no riding. Instead, EAL sessions focus on building relationships with horses on the ground, horse behavior and how people can best communicate with horses through body language and energy.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy
Equine assisted psychotherapy (EAP) offers an innovative experiential approach that engages our whole selves—thoughts, feelings and body sensations—in ways that talk therapy can’t.
Bring your organization out to ClearWind for team building, a wellness break, or learning experiences customized to your needs. We also rent our space to like-minded service organizations.
